See the difference

If you’re looking for quality, consistency and on-time delivery, you’re in the right place.

We know you’re busy.
Space might be tight.
Your budget is set.

When you buy your posts from us, you won’t need more room, more money or more time.

We create high-end posts and sell them at low-end prices.

Our hands are on them from the trees in the woods to delivery to you. In fact, we’re the only company in the Great Lakes region that makes “true posts” from start to finish. Others only peel posts or only treat posts. We do it all. Our eyes are on quality from start to finish.

CCA Pressure Treated Penetration Depth

We’ve been making .40 CCA and .60 CCA (Copper Chromic Arsenic) treated posts for years — and manufacturing peeled posts since 1980.

Take a look at a side by side comparison of treatment penetration depth. On the left, our treated round post shows deep preservative penetration — a clear contrast to the limited treatment seen in the competitor’s post on the right. Both wood posts are considered to be treated to .40 CCA retention.

CCA treatment delivers superior protection against rot, decay, and termite infestation, ensuring a long-lasting round wood post. At West Branch Wood Treating Sales, we go beyond “average” industry standards — each post is treated to meet rigorous depth penetration requirements. Our process ensures treatment reaches up until the heartwood, and we take multiple core samples from every bundle to verify consistency and effectiveness.

Industry-Lead Treatment Penetration Depth – You can take a saw to our posts and see how deep our treatment penetrates.

Tapered and Non-Tapered Posts

We offer .40 CCA and .60 CCA pressure-treated round posts in both tapered and non-tapered (cylinder) styles, crafted from premium Red Pine. Our non-tapered posts feature the same diameter from end to end, offering a perfect, uniform appearance along the entire length.

Available in the following standard sizes:

  • Diameters: 3.5”, 4”, 5”, 6”, and 8”
  • Non-tapered (Cylinder) Post Lengths: 7’, 8’, 10’, and 12’
  • Tapered Post Lengths: 10’ – 22’
